Art and Action: Contemporary Art in Southeast Asia 3-5 December, 2018
Art and Action is a pioneering international art history conference and series of exhibitions, which critically examine the development of art practices in Southeast Asia from the 1970s to the present. The conference focuses on the role of artists and artworks as social conduits, with the aim of generating discourses specific to the contexts and conditions of the region. Asian Art Advisory Founder Sally J. Clarke is a member of the conference Convening Committee, and will be moderating a panel with leading contemporary artists: Imelda Cajipe Endaya (Phillippines), Arahmaiani (Indonesia) and Dr. S Chandrasekaran (Singapore) on the 5 December.
